Dr. Jay Myers |
Dr. Myers is a native of Spartanburg, SC. Graduated Cum Laude form the College of Charleston (graduated 1998). He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina, College of Dental Medicine, 1999-2003. Dr. Myers practiced in Charlotte, NC for three years until finding a home back in the Lowcountry in 2006. He is urrently is a partner with Dr. Jim McClary, Jr. at Pineland Family Dental on North Pine Street in Summerville. Avid golfer, traveller, scuba diver, and enjoys medical mission work in developing countries when the opportunity arises. |

Mr. Phil Jones |
Mr Jones is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and was commissioned a 2d Lt of Marines. Served with Marine Infantry in various assignments world wide and with the U.S State Department in Latin America. Mr. Jones retired from the U.S. Marine Corps 1982 while serving as C.O. Marine Barracks, Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, SC. He is currently a Partner at Olde Towne Mortgage, LLC in Summerville. Mr. Jones has served on various local boards and committees to include Chairman, Greater Summerville / Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce, President Summerville Rotary Club and current member of the Dorchester County Election Commission. |

Mr. Colin Martin |
Mr. Martin has served on the Board for the past 3 years. He retired from the US Navy in 1996, served as Deputy and then as County Administrator until 2004 when he assumed a position with Summerville Homes, LLC. Since 2007, he has been the Director of Utilities for Berkley County, SC. A native of South Dakota, he received his BA from the University of Kansas, his MA from Salve Regina College, and an additional MA from the US Naval War College.

Mr. Jeffrey. Brooks

Mr. Brooks joined the Board in 2006. He is managing partner of Brooks Advisory Group. An Eagle Scout, he graduated with a BSBA dregree from East Carolina University, and an MS from N.C. State University. Prior to coming to Summerville, he was EVP and COO for IBIS Networks. Before his position with IBIS, he was VP of Business Marketing for BellSouth, SVP Marketing and Sales for Southern Communications, and VP of Sales & Distribution for Vanguard Cellular Systems. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and other groups.

Ms. Charlotte Allen, CPA

Ms Allen joined the Board in October 2005. She is a shareholder of Bryan, Truesdale, Adkins & Williams, PA, Summerville, SC Prior to returning to public accounting, she did accounting for not- for-profit agencies, primarily Sea Island Comprehensive Health Care on John’s Island. Born in Zimbabwe, where her mother was a missionary and her father a forester, she moved to Summerville in the mid 60’s and has resided here ever since.

Ms. Margaret Bailey

Margaret is a native Summervillian. She graduated
from Summerville
High School and Trident Technical College. Formerly she served the Town of Summerville as a Fire
Department communications operator; as a reserve Police Officer; an EMT/Paramedic; a SLEC TAC;
Administrative Assistant to the Probate Judge and is currently serving as Register of Deeds for
Dorchester County. She is presently on the Salvation Army advisory Committee for Dorchester County.
Ms Baily is active in the Kiwanis Club of Summerville, the
BPOE and a variety of other community and political organizations.

The Rev. Floyd Baker

The Rev. Mr. Baker is pastor of Antioch Christian Fellowship, Summerville, and a Board member for two
years. He is the immediate past president of the Summerville Ministerial Assn., and has been in the ministry for 52 years. He was formerly a CBN 700 Club evangelist and an Apostolic/Missionary in
India, Brazil, Mexico, Haiti, Jamaica, England and Scotland.
He has founded and co-founded 19 churches.

Ms. Kelly Knight Byrd

Ms Byrd has been a member of the Board Since 2004. She is a graduate from the College of Charleston
and received her law degree from the University of South Carolina. Ms Byrd is a member of the Knight
Law Firm, LLC and also serves as Corporate Counsel for the Town of Summerville. She is
President-Elect of the Kiwanis Club of Summerville and member of the Board for the Dorchester County
Public Defender Corporation.

Major Frank Nigro |
I started my career with the Summerville Police Department
on June 9, 1986. During my 21 years I have had the
opportunity to work patrol, traffic, detectives and in 1987
I became the first K-9 handler for the department, handling
a narcotics/tracking chocolate Labrador named “King”. I
remained with this until I was promoted and had to make the
decision to remain a handler or begin my career of supervision. During
this period I also became the departments first FBI trained
crisis negotiator, attending courses from the FBI, to Frank
Bolz’s course, the founder of the NYPD negotiation
team. On October 10th of 2005 I was promoted to the
rank of Major/Assistant Chief of Police.
He is married and has 2 children.

Mr. Robert Patala

Mr. Patala has been a member of the Board for the past 3 years. Most recently, he served as Building
Committee Chairman, supervising The construction of the new Palmetto House facility. Residing in
Summerville for the past eight years, he works in Charleston as an engineer for a local government
subcontractor. Mr. Patala is married and has three lovely daughters.

Hon. Annette Young
Director |
Representative Young has served on the Board for the past 2 years. Beside being State Representative
for District #98, she is President of Young Enterprises and Vice President for Community Relations
for Summerville Homes, LLC. She is the SC House majority leader and 1st Vice President of the Ways
and Means Committee. She is a recipient of the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina’s highest award.
Active in both Summerville Breakfast Rotary and Summerville Kiwanis Clubs, she has also received
awards as Legislator of the Year from associations of the Tax Payers; the SC Solicitors; the Victims Advocates and the SC Sheriffs.
