The 8th Annual Pancake Breakfast will be held June 14th, 2008 at Applebees on North Main Street in Summerville. For only $5.00 you can have a great time, have a great meal and help a worthy cause. Please mark this on your calendar.

Palmetto House and Pinewood Forest Country Club hosted the First Annual Palmetto House Proam tennis tournament in early June, 2007. Please click here for a link to the tournament website.

Palmetto House at 2007 Flowertown Festival.

Please visit the Palmetto House booth during the Flowertown Festival. There will be information about our new facility and also a rafflefor the Palmetto House Quity to aid in our construction costs.

This year’s raffle consists of a Children’s Gift Basket donated by the US Coast Guard and a beautiful framed print by artist Madeline Carol.

Tickets can be purchased from any board member, The Palmetto House, or the Trident United Way Office on Main Street or purchase at the door the night of the event.

"It's Spooky to Be Hungry Food Drive"

This is a grass roots, all volunteer neighbor to neigbor food drive which takes place throughout October, primarely on or around the 4th weekend in October. This is a National Program that several neighborhoods in Summerville have been participating in then donating all the canned goods and non-perishable items to Palmetto House. Gahagan, Gahagan East & Legend Oaks will be holding this years event on Sunday 10/29/2006 5:00-7:00. For more information visit www.spookytobehungry.org

National Homeless Week.

Saturday November 11 is the start of National Homeless Week. this is when we kick off with our Annual Gala at the Summerhouse. We will end National Homeless Week with the "Help the Hungry Benefit Run" being held again for its third year at Nightmare Custom Cycles at 2912 W. 5th North Street Summerville SC 29483 For more info to ride contact Nightmare at 832-2897. All moneyearned from each rider will be donated to the Palmetto House.

Popping for a Pancake Platter helps Palmetto House Residence

If you like to pack in the pancakes, plan to attend the sixth annual Palmetto House Pancake Breakfast at Applebee’s on North Main Street from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 17 2006

All proceeds will help fund the new, larger Palmetto House. Applebee’s provides the location, cooks and delicious pancakes, ham, coffee, tea and juice, in support of the Palmetto House.

Each year this event grows with participants and excited supporters. For the forth year in a row, “Two Girls and A Guy” from 95SX-FM radio will be on hand to support the cause and mingle with the guests.

Tickets are $5 and are available at the Palmetto House or at the Dorchester Interfaith Outreach Ministries office in the United Way building at 117 South Main Street. Tickets will also be sold the day of the event at the Main Street Applebee’s.
